Topic: Childrens Clock

An idea for any developers looking for a project

We are teaching our son to sleep through the night in his own room.  Currently he gets up, sleepy or sometimes fully awake, somewhere between 2-6am for a visit or sleep in our bed.  Presently we are also teaching him written numbers, so coupling these together we would love to have the following:

1.  A widget that is a digital clock, as large as possible for the numbers on a single screen
2.  Replacing a conventional alarm with a noise/sound being activated at the set time suggestion of a background color and image (yellow with a sun image = you can wake everyone else up, purple with a moon image = be patient and let others sleep it is still early) kind of UI.
3.  Optional - allow the wake/sleep time to be configurable via web (from the chumby site: Widget>>Customize) if possible.

With the chumby screen not going off, this would also double as a night light (albeit an expensive one <grins>) for the lad.  So two birds with one stone.  smile

Any takers?  I have a graphics background so if you need any help with that I would gladly do so.

Re: Childrens Clock

This one (recently done by clivebutler) here: http://www.chumby.com/guide/widget/Large+digital+clock looks like it might do the trick.   Just set this up (with 2 schedules, for wake up/sleep via colors).
