OK, I've restored the NPR Program Stream, however, NPR has taken down the Newscast stream in favor of podcasts on individual news programs.

Blue Octy Radio only understands how to play streams and playlists, not podcasts.

I switched to Zurk firmware and the NPR Newscast stream works fine on it.. Was it just down for awhile or ?  Can we restore the stream back to the original CP now?

Hi drexful. You might want to think about adding this NPR News stream to the My Streams section of the Chumby.

If you need information on how to do that, I maintain a spreadsheet with roughly 100 different streams. The first page of that spreadsheet describes how to edit the url_streams file on your Chumby to add the streams you want in a much more reliable way than the manual editing on the Chumby keyboard that is the default entry method. I added the NPR Newscast stream to this spreadsheet right near the top.

After doing some digging in the control panel script, I was able to find some things of interest to those who care..

That's the main data feed for BOR (internally it's called "chumcast"), that link is for the *other* NPR stream which is the one I restored a few weeks ago.

I could have sworn it worked last night, but when I looked at the topic today, the link seemed to revert to the old file link. Strange. Anyway, I updated it. See if it works for you know.
