Re: Windows10 and privacy

Looks like the latest release of Windows 10 has removed "WiFi Sense" i.e. the automatic sharing of WiFi credentials with contacts. They claim that that the required resources to maintain it weren't worth it given the low uptake.  More likely is that it didn't make any sense (how does the contact's laptop get the WiFi credentials from Microsoft's cloud if they aren't connected to the network?).

It does set an interesting precedent that Microsoft call and will unilaterally remove a featured function of the operating system.

Re: Windows10 and privacy

To me it is frightening how much control Microsoft expects to have over other peoples property. They seem clueless why anyone would object. This tells me something about the culture of the company. I don't think I will be buying any Microsoft stock.

I guess that's the what you get when you install a free OS from a for-profit company, and give them the opportunity to install updates at will. This is getting to Channel Bar levels of insanity.
