Re: built in server questioins

I think that's the index.html file that I put in the lighttpd tarball.

Re: built in server questioins

I think the problem is low signal in my room.   I there a way to fix it other than to move the chumby closer

Re: built in server questioins

Unfortunately no.

We've positioned the internal wifi adaptor to maximize signal strength, however, radio is very sensitive to many factors, including not only distance, but also the geometry and construction materials between your access point and your device.

Re: built in server questioins

oh...

well then I guess i'll have to move my chumby next to my computer and wait for the grand opening to get one for my room.

Re: built in server questioins

You might look into a wireless range extender.

Here's one method: http://www.netgear.com/Products/Powerli … XB102.aspx

Re: built in server questioins

I just realized, when my Ipod is plugged in, I get the black screen, but when it's not, I get the site!

I wonder why...

Re: built in server questioins

Ah - it's because with the iPod installed, it presents an HTTP server on port 8080, that's use by the Control Panel to access the device.

You might want to move your server to post 8000 instead.

Re: built in server questioins

I moved to port 8000 and it works flawlessly, thanks! smile

irrelevantly, how much does the type of flash used on the chumby cost?  I'm thinking of buying it for my little brother's birthday (part of my master plan to make him like the chumby), but i'm not sure I can afford it.
