Topic: Andoid app compatibility with Physical Devices only Chumby apps

Hi,

Noting the reference in the FAQ to compatibility restrictions of certain Chumby apps related in some cases to security and other requirements, please could you advise if the Chumby apps that normally require physical devices (such as Gmail viewer, Facebook status etc) are able to operate via the Android app?

If not currently then will this become possible?

My understanding is that those apps will work on Android - this is not a "virtual chumby" implementation, which is what generally generated those limitations.

We're still going through the current widget catalog to see which ones behave properly, and which don't, and require updating.

Hi

I have an HTC Desire Android device that I am using to view Facebook, Google Calendar and Gmail Viewer. In each case I only see sample screens despite configuring the apps (I believe) correctly in the dashboard. The Facebook App actually states "Please view on a physical device". Could you perhaps advise where you think I am going wrong? Thanks
