Topic: snooze button on the top side of the chumby switches to wrong screen

Hi Duane,

please fix the following issue which happens on Chumby Classic:

When an alarm rings the snooze button on the top side of the Chumby switches to the wrong screen.

Steps to replicate the issue:

1) Add an alarm with the following settings:
    Alarm name: Daily at <now +2 minutes>
    When: Daily at <now +2 minutes>
    Audio Play: "Beep"
    Audio duration: 30 minutes
    Backup alarm: Off
    Alarm/snooze screen: On
    Snooze: 1 minutes
    After alarm: Return to prior screen

2) Hide the control panel, watch the channel and wait till the alarm rings.

3) When the alarm rings press the snooze button on the touchscreen:
    -> Chumby continues to play the channel.
    --> This is the expected behavior.

4) Watch the channel and wait again till the alarm rings.

5) When the alarm rings press the snooze button on the top side of the Chumby:
    -> Chumby shows the control panel.
    --> This is not expected and a bug.

Please solve this issue.

I've tested this on a Chumby One with 2.8.80 and I'm seeing the same thing.  Many times with alarm clocks, when it goes off, I blindly press the top (snooze) button.  Then slowly peak to see the time.  Not possible if it's on the Control Panel. 

With the current state of Chumby in flux, I fear this will never be addressed

Please try this again with the current Control Panel Beta (2.8.84).

OK, dumb question.  Where does one download this beta Control Panel?  Also, will this work on Insignia model's ok too?

On the website, go to "my chumby"->"my chumby dashboard" and hit the "Try the beta software" next to the the Flameby icon.

Then choose your device, and "Control Panel Beta", then reboot your device.

Yes, this applies to the Insignia 3.5" devices as well as the CC and C1.
