A friend gave me a Chumby. I decided to flash him. I didn't realize it was a prototype unit and that this would brick it.
Is there any hope? I do a lot of embedded systems development, so I could prolly make it work... if it's possible.

Nope, it's dead Jim.
The prototype units are not supported by the company any more - it's just a quirk that they even talk to the servers and play a few of the widgets. Technically, they were supposed to be returned to the company when the recipients were done with them, not passed on or sold, since they're not certified by the FCC.
Well, does anybody want it? It's brown suede!
