Topic: Differences Virtual and real Chumby

Hi,
as part of work on a new widget I built a small virtual keybaord (I looked at one on wiki and it seesm hard to integrate). anyhow within 120 lines of code (inlcuding comments) it was up and running - well sort of - works in my dev environment, works on virtual chumby but doesnt work on real chumby. So it begs the question whats the difference between virtual and real chumby. The obvious thing is horsepower and as my keyboard widget creates lots of components (one for each button < 100) this might be the answer - however I would not expect it to hang but maybe take a long while to load. Are there any other differences ? or tricks that anyone knows.

Any thought / feedback would be appreciated.

cheers

Nigel

Hmmm, I guess you'll need to run it from the console to see what's bothering it.

Duane,
thanks sounds like a great idea - just one thing - how do i do it     hmm

EDIT - did some further testing and seems to be a horsepower issues - reduced number of buttons and it runs - all be it slowly.
