I totally miss my hometown station WPLJ-NY (www.wplj.com).  I don't know if it's mp3 or wma.  All the other stations I was going to suggest (other than npr in SF/bay area, which would be a slight overkill considering the request list here) are wma stations :-/

re: NPR. I did a SHOUTcast search from the Chumby for npr and got about 20 different stations in varying markets. Got to listen to PHC twice and the Tappit Brothers. I've been in music heaven since finding the search option. Or realizing what I could find with the search option. Non-stop Beatles! Yea!

I'm not all that technosavy, so I don't know how to find out if something is a WMA stream, but I would like the following radio stations added to Radio Free Chumby if possible.

Is it possible to set up circular scrolling.  My favorite station is at the end, and I would rather see it by hitting up once than hitting down 20 times.

With all these suggestions for stations coming into the forums in this and other threads could a list be compiled that can be browsed?

This list would obviously be much larger than the chumby itself would want to handle but would give a great way for everyone to see stations that work on the chumby and can be manually added into the music section.

Just paid a fortune to get a chumby delivered to New Zealand, so how about some NZ radio stations... unfortunately they are all asx streams so can't add them myself sad

I agree with another post that recommended against adding local NPR stations to RFC. However, WNYC2 is different as it is classical music 24/7.

Let me add one other possibility: Vermont Public Radio's stream of the BBC World Service at:

The reason I recommend it is because (I think) it's the only BBC stream that is not in RealPlayer format.

Also, to address the growing number of requests, what about several RFCs? For example:
RFC1 - News/Talk/NPR
RFC2 - Classical/World
RFC3 - Jazz/Blues
RFC4 - Rock/Pop
etc., etc.
