Topic: Differences in Software between devices?
Hi All,
I am a previous early adopter of Chumby Classic beanbag--and I loooved how my beanbag worked! But it's on a shelf in California, and I'm not in California, so I don't have it.
Instead, I got a Sony Dash, thinking it would be the perfect connected travel alarm clock. Sadly, it's not. All of its best features have been disabled, and the hardware isn't even good enough to say that that's a mitigating factor. You'd think it would have decent Sony sound, but not really.
So I'd been searching for a Chumby 8, which was out of stock until now...but before i throw away more money, I want to make sure Chumby 8 has all the goodness I remember of the Chumby beanbag.
I still believe the Chumby's "killer app" is the alarm clock. And with my beanbag, it had:
Unlimited customizable alarms
Cancel Next Alarm option (gosh, i miss this!)
Wake to mp3
and I can't even remember what else, but I'll come back here and edit as I remember. I was a lot younger back then.
So my question is, how does the software compare between Beanbag, Dash, and Chumby 8?
Any comments on the sound output of Chumby 8 would be much appreciated, too (although I know this is the wrong forum for that).
