Topic: Linux 2.6 Kernel

Is anyone working on a 2.6 kernel for chumby? 2.6 especially 2.6.22 is much more stable and reliable than 2.4. Addon hardware, usb and other devices have much better support in 2.6.

If no one is working on this, I would gladly help once I get my hands on a chumby.

Re: Linux 2.6 Kernel

The production chumby is running a Linux 2.6.16 kernel.

Re: Linux 2.6 Kernel

Thank you. I guess the online documentation needs to be updated.

Re: Linux 2.6 Kernel

At the moment, the online documentation still reflects the prototype (aka "Foo" or "Katamari") chumby units, since that's what people (at least those outside of the company) have.

I expect that the docs will be updated when the production units are released.
