Topic: RFID Reader

We would like to read an RFID card and control the display of information based on the ID card of the user (this means that the web widget needs to poll the RFID reader and read the results). Any advice or links people or projects using RFID would be appreciated.

Maybe take a look at the Mir:or from Violet.net.
Supposedly already linux compatible and has some interesting accessories to go along with it that seem very chumby-esque
