Does the Chumbyized Sony Dash make the switch to Daylight Savings Time on its own?

Yes, it will do this properly unless the DST rules change.

Every six months we have a lot of media and political noise about this, but so far, we just forget about a couple
of days later, so it's unlikely anything will change soon.

Unfortunately, since the firmware on the dash cannot be modified, if there's a rule change, it can't be directly addressed and you'd have to set the time manually.
