i am new, i dont have a Chumby, but i really want one. the main thing that i want it for is the radio function. so heres my question; when you go to a radio station website and there is a listen live icon, and on my computer i can stream the station live, can i do it on the chumby (i will only get it if i can do it on Cbc.ca) please help all yall experts

It depends on the format the stream is in. In the case of cbc.ca, their stream is in WMA format, so no. Sorry. If it is an MP3, Ogg, M3U, or PLS stream, Chumby can read it. However, if they also have a shoutcast stream, you can listen on the Chumby through that. *See your other thread. Sorry, only checked one stream, and figured the rest would be in the same format.
It doesn't look good. There are however a couple thousand stations available via the shoutcast search function.
If there is a station type which is not there it would have to be a pretty unpopular format. there is some pretty interesting stuff available.
