Yeah I need one too.. For the moment mine is traveling with me.. I can't deceide between blowing $650 on a personal copy of Flash CS3 or adopting the other 2 Chumby colors.. smile

So, can a chumbian please tell me if I *have* to buy a second power adapter from chumby - as in, is it proprietary, or could I get a similar/compatible one elsewhere?

My chumby arrives in 3 days, and I know I'll want a power adapter for at least 3 rooms.

It's a *very* standard power adaptor - your can see info about the power requirements and the type of supply necessary here.

I will say one thing.. The convienence/size/style of the chumbys adapter is a lot nicer than using a universal job from Radio Shack wink.. Esp if the spare includes a bag wink

One has a cord before the transformer and the other, the plug is on the transformer.

The unit that comes with the Chumby is partially nice. It is light weight and seems to be of high quality compared to so many of these wall wart devices we get from China. There is no doubt that there are different levels of quality available from manufactures there and the Chumby and it's power adapter are definitely made to the higher quality standards. QC is also very good.
