I saw that someone made a new widget that loads an image from any server. Anyway someone could make one that loads an external swf file. I know the container one does but it has to be on the chumby drive..

The "Load Image from URL" widget in the Widget Laboratory will load it but it took it a few seconds to correctly resize it (probably due to the size).

The swf loading is kinda a hidden feature as most of them not work correctly. Animated gifs are not supported in Flash 8/Flash lite so thats just not currently possible.
The first frame of an animated gif should load and display though.
jvc, I monitored its loading and I think your right, it takes awhile to resize because its so big.
What I though you meant was that the Chumby was having a hard time processing the big file, but now I see that its just downloading it..

You could just use the one that was resized for the chumby - "Screen Clean" in the Weird category.
