Topic: Sprout - Anybody seen this?

It's an online WYSIWYG editor for Flash widgets.  I'm wondering if this is something Chumby will be able to support.  The demo makes simple widget creation look easy.

According to the article, it's using Adobe's Flex architecture, which requires Flash 9 - so from what little I can tell, probably not.

Saw that, but I'm not sure if they mean that the application used to build the widgets uses Flex. 

The neat thing here is that the easier the entry into building Flash widgets gets, the more widgets that will show up for Chumby...

Absolutely - we'd love to see tools like that showing up to make widget development better.

We'll keep an eye on this as details trickle out.

I tried it out last night. It works pretty well for creating widgets. I even tried to create one for my Chumby before I realized that they were using Flex. The way you create widgets is awesome though, very easy and intuitive.
