Topic: Warm screen

I got my Chumby today (yay!), and have had it set up for about three hours now. I just noticed that the device is fairly warm, especially the screen. Just wanted to see what others say. I'm not worried, it's not hot, but just warmer than I expected, all things considered.

Take a look at the Feedback section of the forum.  This has been reported, and confirmed that the device normally runs a bit on the warm side. 

FWIW, the screen actually seems to perform better once the device warms up smile

Somewhere here there's an explanation, but the short answer is the Chuby throws heat out the front screen and bezel on purpose. 

Given that the bag would likely be filled with something insulating (like the polyfill), it was the only place to dump the heat.
