Easy Installation
1. get your ID (press Help in the Widget on the Chumby)
2. download the debugchumby on a USB stick
3. start the chumby with the USB stick
3. reload the http://youstreams.appspot.com website
4. copy and paste the stream and podcast in the online form
5. enjoy

What is working nice:

Hard to stop the music,
once you leave the widget, you have to go back to the widget and to the same station
to stop the stream.

the first thing i found that is missing is a pause/resume - function for podcast
the best thing is: while playing the time/date is also on screen.
(i think this will be my "always-on-screen" widget -
the share/search idea sounds nice to find new unknown things.
on the screen there is still place for more functions
-for example at the button station-buttons for podcast and/or netradio or both.
-or anything else..

this is made for the Noxon-90elf-Radio but the streams are availlable for all.
in youstreams.appspot is shown "bad: doesn't look valid!"

At the moment, you cannot enter a .mp3-Stream-Address directly !
You must supply the .pls or .m3u playlist-Address, NOT the .mp3-Stream.
I will change the website, so that you can alternatively enter the .mp3-Stream directly.

Also it would be nice to configure the server on the chumby.
I think of an application part which uses vtuner.com to move the m3u directly to an own appspot.

is it possible to insert the timer-function in this widget (for example play 30minutes and than stop playing like in mystreams)?

I must admit, I don't understand your post.
What do you mean with "Can you make you appspot application available." ?

What I won't do is make the stream-url's editable with the on-screen-keyboard on the chumby. I hate this on-screen-keyboard, it's just good enough to type in some search-keywords, but not more.
@spunk: O.k., good idea, put on the to-do-list.
Some stations (like http://www.lounge-radio.com/listen128.m3u) provide too much text, the info text box is flooded and the song title is unreadable.
You probably should cut the string somewhere...
@oxytox: O.k., done. Hope, I didn't cut too much, not so easy with proportional fonts.
I also noticed another bug: If a string contains an ampersand ( "Ashford & Simpson" ) it's not shown correctly.

Timer's coming soon (tomorrow?).
mms-links: no idea at the moment.
Easter-Update:
I just update the widget with :
- a Volume-Slider for Chumby-Classics
and
- Sleep-Timer for all
A few notes:
- the helper-script must be updated: this can be done easily from the widget: Press the Update button on the main-screen (which should appear if you have an earlier version of the script) and then "Ok". After that, go to control-panel (top-button) and reload the channel. I also updated the script on the website, if you prefer downloading it manually.
- to set (or cancel) the sleep-timer, press the clock or date in the Radio-section (no sleep-timer for podcasts)
- you can dim the screen immediately
- if you check "Enter-Night mode", your Chumby should enter Night-Mode when the Timer has elapsed
- if you check "Enter-Night mode", DO NOT MAKE THE WIDGET "STAY" (PIN-NEEDLE) in the control-panel, or you will have trouble getting it out of sleep-mode again (strange effects - just try it !)

According to his email, it works for tabber now. The problem was the filename.
If anyone has similar issues, please check this:
- the filename must be EXACTLY "debugchumby", NOT "debugchumby.txt", NOT "debugchumby.mht" or something like that (it must not have a filename-extension).
- If you're working with windows, make sure the (file-)explorer does not hide filename-extensions of "known filetypes" (like .txt and so on). There's an option in the explorer-menu to disable this feature - if it is enabled, the filename might be debugchumby.txt although it is shown as debugchumby.

How about a screensaver with scrolling ticker of the ID3-Tags?
After using YouStreams for a few hours with podcast's and zapping radio streams, i had problems to load any other channel with my chumby classic.
I always got a network error, but it was still possible to play internet radio in YouStreams.
Only a reboot of the Chumby could solve this issue.
Zapping playing stations without stopping before, can also bring YouStreams
in a station freeze, after going back to the main panel and choose again Internet Radio
it contact the server and mostly the problem is gone.
I have stored in YouStreams about 25 radio stations and about 10 Podcast.
Is the a memory leak or some proprietary access of the TCP/IP stack?
Has anybody else experienced a similar situation?
Could it be that only 32 episodes of a Podcast can be displayed in the list? Is there a possibility to customize it?
In fact, I set the limit to 32. I had to set a limit and thought 32 "ought to be enough for anybody". Is that too less ? How about 64 ?

for me its more then enough - i prefer to hear the new episodes. but there is no problem if this counter is higher.

The problem is that i want to hear some podcasts from the beginning. Maybe that's not needed for all but any of them have to hear chronologically.
In an older version of your widget it was possible but now it doesn't work no longer. (The version where you count the entrys twice)
A fix value doesn't solve the problem. Maybe you can add this parameter to the webconfig of the podcast.
An other solution is to change the order but this will leave a gap if it has more then 64 entrys by a limit of 32.
Otherwise i have to use mediafly again and this is really boring.
Additionally, is there a way to put the timeline of searchtube to the podcast player? That would be a really nice feature for longer podcasts. I haven't found any widget with a timeline (neither mediafly nor My Musik Files). Was it hard to implement?
Because of the uselessness of "My Media Files" is there a way to use the Widget for local data from USB (with id3)?
