Topic: Chumby one np-120 li ion battery charge capacity - Recommendations?

Are all of the np-120 li ion batteries the same on the charge capacity or are there any other np-120's that you can buy with a longer storage capacity?

Any recommendations on a specific np-120 battery?

Well, with capacity, more is better.  I've seen 1950 mAh batteries, which ought to give you slightly longer battery life over the standard 1800 mAh battery.

I think the official recommendation is for an Official Fujifilm NP-120 1800 mAh battery.  But pretty much any NP-120 ought to do.

I was going to suggest the Lenmar battery pack... inexpensive, and a known vendor in the industry. They make third party packs and chargers for studio/video equipment and cameras.

I went and got this Maximal Power DB FUJ NP-120  from Amazon.  Currently $9.90 in stock and free 2nd day shipping for PRIME Members.  So a steal for me.  Oh and it's rated 2000mAh.   Seems to last for quite some time for me.

It might be a good idea to start logging batteries and usage.  I am curious, as a number of these battery descriptions state they are "replacement" batteries for cameras, does that not matter?  Will any of these work?  Why would one be better than the other?

I just got my battery pack yesterday -- it's the Lenmar 2000mAh one.  Picked it up off of Amazon for $10.  Took a long, long time to charge (~6 hrs), but I got 2 hrs of Pandora streaming off of it this afternoon.  Oh, and this happened before the newest update, which, from what I understand, is supposed to help the battery handling in some way.

I tried an old battery from my Ricoh camera (3,7 V 900 mAh). It works, but I wonder if I have to expect problems besides a reduced running time ? I really don't know how battery charging works technically, will the integrated charger try to blow it up to 1800?

I just ordered a bunch of procell batteries and finally got everything running longer with them.
