Topic: Gizmo Call on Chumby??

is it possible to use this flash based voip application on chumby?

https://www.gizmocall.com/gc/app?class= … oc=gcStart

there's code at the bottom to embed it into a web page I didn't know if you could link external flash applications into chumby widgets

<embed src="https://www.gizmocall.com/gizmocall.swf?ver=3" width="240" height="430" wmode="transparent"></embed>

Re: Gizmo Call on Chumby??

Unfortunately, that Flash movie is Flash 9, and uses features that are not available in FlashLite 3, the version that the chumby uses.

Someone mentioned Skype, along the same lines- a voip application. Also it would be neato if you could talk commands to it; Chumby! What time is it?, Chumby, check my email please. Oh and Chumby, Let me snooze for another five minutes! I do not have a chumby... YET but I have been drooling thinking about getting one.

Kinda helps to have an (accessible) microphone...

For this sort of thing, an external app might be easiest to write (though hardest to install), unless you wanted to do a server-side SIP-to-Speex translator as I'm sure Gizmo has done.
