Topic: youtube?

I'm not a chumby owner (yet), as far as I understood, it will use Flash Lite 3 (will it do it from this release?). Will FlashLite support H.264 (as iPhone) and thus support youtube in the future?

Cheers, chr

Re: youtube?

i dont know, but it says on the lighttpd site(http://www.lighttpd.net/): "lighttpd powers several popular Web 2.0 sites like YouTube, wikipedia and meebo. Its high speed io-infrastructure allows them to scale several times better with the same hardware than with alternative web-servers."

Yes, chumby uses FlashLite 3 and is capable of playing YouTube videos; you can see our current YouTube widget here - http://www.chumby.com/guide/widget/YouTube%20videos

The current YouTube widget only plays a limited selection of videos, however the next over-the-air firmware update will include video performance enhancements that will allow chumby to play a wider array of YouTube videos.

Re: youtube?

Is the YouTube Source ever going to be released, or it it one of those Closed Source ones?

YouTube just plays Flash videos, so I'm not sure what source you're referring to...
