Topic: Temporary Twitter Hack

This will at least allow you to read the top 20 or so tweets most recently posted by people you follow on Twitter.

1. Go here...

http://www.idfromuser.com/

...and type in your Twitter user name.  You will get your Twitter ID number.

Put the Chumby RSS Reader widget in a channel.  When you configure it, use the following as your RSS feed:

https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/foll … d=00000000

Substitute your Twitter user ID number for the string of zeros at the end.

It's not pretty, but it works.

Re: Temporary Twitter Hack

I also just figured out how to do an RSS feed from a Twitter search term.

EXAMPLE:

http://search.twitter.com/search.rss?q= … s%20bus%22

This searches for "on this bus" in quotes, one of my favorite search terms for finding unhappy people on Twitter.

Substitute whatever words you want with "%22" at each end and "%20" separating the individual words.  Plug it into the Chumby RSS Reader, and you're away.
