Topic: 'Not Connected' but radio still streaming

As I have mentioned elsewhere, my Chumby Classics, connected by ethernet, are very prone to disconnecting themselves and won't reconnect automatically.
Today, however, something a bit odd happened. I was listening to internet radio via YouStreams and had been for several hours. I looked up and noticed that the Chumby had switched to the default clock, and sure enough on the Control Panel it said it was Not Connected. All through this the music played without a stutter. A few minutes later, the Chumby reestablished its connection and the widgets came back. Radio kept going throughout.

Re: 'Not Connected' but radio still streaming

"Not connected" means more that just no network connection - it also has to maintain a regular connection to the Chumby servers.  It sounds like something went awry when trying to check into the service (to see if anything changed) and whatever it was fixed itself, but the network connection and the path to the streaming audio were still functional.

I see. Thanks, Duane.
