Topic: Internet streams for your Chumby, from our friends at

I emailed Rusty Hodge last night to tell him how much I enjoyed listening to his streams on my Chumby, especially Drone Zone & Boot Liquor, and to see if he would mind if I put up all the url streams for his various music channels.

Rusty replied first thing this morning from San Francisco, and graciously sent me links for each of the streaming music stations on his network.

I have manually entered each one in to the "My Streams" feature, but offer these for Chumby Industries to consider adding to Radio Free Chumby.

Until that happens, here is each station's web url and stream url, for your listening pleasure.

PS - I have personally tested each stream, and all are working, except for the two that are off-the-air until Thanksgiving.

PPS - If you like what you hear, please leave a message on the somaFM guestbook, and be sure to mention you are listing on your Chumby!

Groove Salad: A nicely chilled plate of ambient beats and grooves.

Secret Agent: The soundtrack for your stylish, mysterious, dangerous life. For Spies and PIs too!

Drone Zone: Served best chilled, safe with most medications. Atmospheric textures with minimal beats.

Indie Pop Rocks!: New and your favorite classic indie pop tracks.

cliqhop idm: Blips'n'beeps backed mostly w/beats. Intelligent Dance Music.

Beat Blender: A late night blend of deep-house and downtempo chill.

Tag's Trance Trip: Progressive house / trance. Tip top tunes.

Illinois Street Lounge: Classic bachelor pad, playful exotica and vintage music of tomorrow.

Space Station Soma: Tune in, turn on, space out. Spaced-out ambient and mid-tempo electronica.

Doomed: Dark music for tortured souls

Boot Liquor: Americana Roots music for Cowhands, Cowpokes and Cowtippers

Lush: Sensuous and mellow vocals, mostly female, with an electronic influence.

Digitalis: Digitally affected analog rock with a DIY mentality.

Sonic Universe: NuJazz + avant-garde EuroJazz. Transcending the world of jazz with experimental takes on tradition.

These two are off the air until Thanksgiving:

Xmas in Frisko: SomaFM's wacky and eclectic holiday mix. Not for the easily offended.

Christmas Lounge: Chilled holiday grooves and classic winter lounge tracks. (Kid and Parent safe!)

Keep in mind that if you listen regularly, you ought to financially support them.

I love the xmas-themed ones! And Space Station Soma is good for when I have work that needs doing.
