Topic: Time Out Indicator

A small point, but the timeout indicator on my Chumby doesn't display at the position shown in the Chumby 101: Time Out Indicator. It displays flush to the top, but indented from the left by 1px.

So, I'm left thinking about my Chumby - which is misaligned? My screen or the indicator?

Re: Time Out Indicator

Mine is also off by that much.  Maybe they all are and the 101 is wrong?

Re: Time Out Indicator

I've got a vague idea this might be related to the blurred fonts in the Virtual Chumby.

When you use a pixel font in Flash, align it to an exact integer pixel location, and choose 'no aliasing' options, it should appear crisply, if a little 'jaggies-le-dy' in the movie. There's a disparity (that has been commented on before) between the Virtual Chumby (blurred pixel fonts) and the *actual* chumby - pixel perfect display. I suspect that the 'container' within the Virtual chumby that plays widgets is not aligned to an integer pixel (presumably x=0, y=0) boundary.

Interesting hypothesis!
