Topic: RGB colors for Latte chumby?

Forgive me for asking a silly question, but what are the RGB colors for the two colors on a Latte Chumby?  I ask so that some widgets I'm drawing can have a look like the Chumby itself. (it's kind of obvious what a black and white chumby's RGB colors are. Turns out it's all or nothing... )

Re: RGB colors for Latte chumby?

Based off http://store.chumby.com/images/resources/rotate/latte_02.png and with the help of mspaint, the dark color is 222/173/104 and the light color is 236/233/231.  Furthermore.. calc tells me that would equate to #DEAD68 (unfortunate..) and #ECE9E7.

However.. that is just off a general pixel on a picture.  The color could be slightly different depending on the lighting in the room, etc.

I'm not sure if the white Chumby would be 255/255/255, given that is very white indeed.
Looking at http://store.chumby.com/images/resources/rotate/pearl_02.png, the screen is much whiter than the Chumby.

The black one is certainly very black...

Re: RGB colors for Latte chumby?

You could use a program like Instant Eyedropper (http://instant-eyedropper.com/) to find out the color values.  It's a free program and can be very helpful for what you're doing.

...or Photoshop or pretty much any other image editing program with an eyedropper will let you do this

Re: RGB colors for Latte chumby?

I think hed like to know the actual products color value numbers, not a graphical representation of the Chumby's colors...  You do realize that taking the RGB off a picture is NOT the same usually as the real deal?

Re: RGB colors for Latte chumby?

Thanks for the answers  My concern is that the pictures have been photographed in a way that the true hue is not represented -- for instance, under reallly bright light.  The pix themselves could have their colors adjusted in Photoshop.

I'll start with the values thinkquick has supplied and go from there.
