Topic: Time Bug....

I have a chumby in Sydney, Australia. It is not reading the correct time from the internet time servers.

We are still on daylight savings but the chumby thinks we aren't and set the clock backwards an hour which is incorrect.

Here's an explanation:

"From this year on, daylight saving in NSW, Victoria, ACT, Tasmania and South Australia will end a week later than usual on the first Sunday in April and, with the exception of Tasmania, recommence three weeks earlier on the first Sunday in October."

Please adjust your chumby time server to reflect changes in our time zone.

Thanks.

Re: Time Bug....

The issue is not the time server, which operates on UTC with leap second adjustments.

The issue is the timezone files stored in the firmware, which we update pretty regularly, but some countries keep changing the rules more frequently than we do.

I think we're using 2007g database, and there's already a 2008b.  I'll post a bug to try to get the latest files in the next update.
