Topic: pass-through audio to your Mac

I am currently using Rogue Amoeba's "LineIn" to passthrough audio from the Chumby, through my Mac line-in, to my Mac speakers. Works very well.

Re: pass-through audio to your Mac

I'm kind of curious as to why you would want to do this (other than the 'because it's there' line).  I learned long ago that there often is a good reason for things that I couldn't guess.

But the real reason I am replying... I would love a pong clock widget like the one on that site (PongSaver).

Re: pass-through audio to your Mac

I'm using NiceCast to do exactly the opposite - pass the audio on the Mac to the Chumby.  Which is really handy with some of the following:

...The Chumby is in the bedroom.  So is a spare Kenwood 5.1 rig.  Being able to run a whole pile of this stuff on the Mac and stream it to the Chumby in the bedroom?  Now *that* is Zen.

Hedwig: I use simply to leverage the great speakers I have plugged into my Mac, without the need to keep swapping them between the Chumby and the Mac.

slave2thelight: they are some cool sound apps, thanks for the links!
