Topic: TV Guide

How about a widget for TV guide listings?  Would come in real handy to just glance over at the nightstand and see what was coming up.

Re: TV Guide

I would love to see a TV guide widget!!!!!!

Re: TV Guide

I'll vote for that one! It would help justify the purchase to the wife.

The TV grid data requires licensing from GemStar/TV Guide, which was recently purchased by Macrovision.

Interesting - I wonder if a Flash movie whose source is released under the GPL would qualify.  We'll look into it.

Re: TV Guide

What about XMLTV?  I've recently bought a Tubestick Hybrid and while their programming guides likely work fine in Germany, in the US they're pretty pointless.  They suggest XMLTV but I tend to run and hide every time I read the word "tarball" in a configuration guide.  Others around here, however, might be more braver than myself...

Re: TV Guide

While not providing listings for every channel, the new TV tracker widget is great for tracking when new episodes of your favorite shows are on. http://www.chumby.com/guide/widget/TV+tracker  Not a TV Guide exactly, but thought it might still be useful.
