The chumby is hardwired to use SlimServer on port 9000

I thought so...

That's why I tried a manual port 9001 URL in My Streams. Why would that not work?

I was never able to get it to stream using the Slimserver menu in the Chumby. I was only able to get it to stream via the My Streams.

I've took the drastic step of uninstalling Google Desktop, and it's reconfiguring SlimServer/SqueezeCenter to port 9000

Still refused to believe I have a player attached. I opened up my Firewall and that seemed to do it.

Have clicked play on Chumby through SlimServer channel but no sound.

One step closer, though!

Rebooted the Chumby and we are all systems GO.

OK, after not being able to get AlienBBC working with SlimServer, I decided to uninstall and re-approach the problem.

So, now I am using NiceCast on my Mac. This is a traditional application and it works a treat. Quality that comes from it being shareware, I guess.
