I wonder if it is possible to switch off the WiFi connection temporarily. This setting might improve power consumption, so it would be easier to keep Chumby running on batteries for some longer time. This may be also turned out: when there were a power outage, Chumby would switch off all unnecessary stuff (including WiFi) and run from batteries, so e.g. the alarm clock would be still in function. And the idea behind? Not to oversleep because of some dummy power outage
