Topic: Chumby Outage today revisited

Some post-outage questions....

Uh isn't the control panel cached local along with the widgets?

If not could the control panel be cached local, and perhaps have a way to make an offline channel for chumby... (i.e the widgets are stored local on say a USB flashstick and are updated when the networks avalible)....

Wasnt sure which forum to mention this, but it be nice if there was a main chumby server outage, the chumby would fallback to another server which will at least send you a notification message, and possibly keep the control panel/alarm running, and tell you the status of the Chumby Network...

Also i got a boilerplate email when trying to email support@chumby.com regarding the network problem, asking for a status... redirecting me to the web support form.. Uh.. circular loop problem... Can't report issues to a webform if that website is down... wink
