Topic: Ipod Touch

Would it be possible to get the Chumby OS on an Ipod Touch? I know some Ipods can run linux, and it seems like the touch has some similar functionality as the Chumby.

Currently not possible since Linux has not been ported to the iPod Touch or iPhone platforms yet (and may never be). iPodLinux runs on older standard iPods, not the OSX based iPhone/Touch platform.

When the iPhone/Touch platform introduces Flash (maybe), and the developer SDK, the chumby control panel and widgets could possibly be emulated on them.

That would also allow the viewing of the "Virtual Chumby".

You also run into the ever present issue of Flash Lite Licensing.


Anything is possible, but this is highly improbable.
