Topic: Unscheduled Outage: 2/23/2017

From approximately 16:40 to 18:50 UTC on February 23, our hosting provider experienced an unscheduled outage that affected all chumby backend services, along with services for many other companies.  They appear to have fixed their issue, and the chumby systems have been completely restored and are operating normally.

Some devices may have noticed the outage.  In general, a chumby device will operate normally during brief outages.  For longer outages, it may go into a state where it will show a simple clock, however, it will continually check for restoration of the service and will go back to normal operation within an hour of restoration.  In some rare cases, the device may not be able to detect restoration and require a reboot to go back to normal.
