Topic: Christmas Wish List

What do you want Jolly Ol' St. Nick to put under the tree for you?

I ordered the CNC router for myself but would love a LASER cutter and a 3D Printer to have a trifecta!

(Like my wife would allow it!) smile

Re: Christmas Wish List

Honestly I don't need or want anything. I would be much happier if the family just got together and had a nice dinner. I have more "stuff" than I have time to use. The only thing I wish I could get is more time. Sadly, no way to wrap it.

There's an app for that! http://pixelespressoapps.com/25h/

"Feeling overstretched? 24 hours in a day is not enough? Then 25h™ is a clock for you.

Trick yourself into having 25 hours in a day. Get things done faster and have an extra “hour” for yourself.

Note that 25h does not modify time–space continuum (or your biological clock) to give you an extra hour. It simply makes the rest of your hours appear a little shorter so that enough time is saved for an additional shorter “hour” at the end of the day."

Interesting idea but not good for scheduling meetings.

Re: Christmas Wish List

I want it to stop raining and my cold to go away and some surf to come SoCal's way.  We finally got some waves, but I've been sick, and busy with the family.

Other than that, I want my synchronized Christmas lights to continue to run without any more issues: http://christmasonquiethills.com/

Re: Christmas Wish List

I'd like the Unicomp Classic keyboard. For anyone who doesn't know, Unicomp is a company made up of old Lexmark employees that bought out Lexmark's keyboard factory (that made later revisions of the IBM Model M keyboard) and kept making buckling spring keyboards. The Classic is still made with the old Model M parts, and the keyboards are made in the US. If I do end up picking one up, I'll post a review in January.

Infocastme,

Here is something else to put on your Christmas list and in your shop:

Thanks! Now I have to find room for another toy! smile

Re: Christmas Wish List

I thought of something I want for Christmas. Cool weather! Florida is still too hot for Christmas. It just doesn't feel right. Cargo shorts and sandals are just not holiday attire.

Florida really needs to get with the program.

Re: Christmas Wish List

Yes, we are "special"...and not it a good way. The crazy news for the country always seems to come from Florida or have a Florida connection.

Re: Christmas Wish List

When I moved from Phoenix Az to Flagstaff Az, everyone would say, "Do you know it gets cold up there?" My reply was, "Gee, I  wish you had told me before I bought a house and got a job!" Duh! yikes

Re: Christmas Wish List

Love the Kimmel clip. I was going to complain that it was 28F here, but just saw it's 18F in Flagstaff 9pm EST. Yikes. You guys in warmer climates, be careful what you wish for. But it does make it interesting to watch our weather gadgets. Too bad we all can't just have it snow on Christmas, one day, and leave it at that.

@Matterdaddy, no video of the Christmas lights? Powered by Chumby, no less. Another strong contribution to the Chumby Arts & Crafts collection.

Re: Christmas Wish List

Yep, it has been in the teens to single digits the last few nights. My outdoor thermometer said it got to a whopping high of 34 degrees today! At least it melted a little bit of the 6-8 inches of snow we had here this weekend. The cold is not too bad due to the low humidity but if the wind kicks up, better protect any exposed skin.

The powered by chumby never got past the "proof of concept" stage.  I now contribute to a raspberry pi solution which drives my show: https://github.com/FalconChristmas/fpp

And there are videos from the last 2 years: http://christmasonquiethills.com/videos/
