Topic: Scratchbox Installation Trouble (Ubuntu)

Hi,

I'm trying to get scratchbox set up so I can do some cross compiling, and have been having some trouble. Following the instructions here:
http://wiki.chumby.com/mediawiki/index. … Scratchbox

On Ubuntu 8.04 and 10 machines, I run into the following:

$ sudo apt-get install scratchbox-devkit-cputransp
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package scratchbox-devkit-cputransp

I found a blog entry discussing what appears to be a similar problem here:
http://balau82.wordpress.com/2010/03/14 … on-ubuntu/

But even changing the sources line to be:
deb http://scratchbox.org/debian/ apophis main

The problem persists. Is there an up-to-date description of how to get this stuff up and running on Ubuntu 8 or 10 machines? Or does anyone have a workaround?

Re: Scratchbox Installation Trouble (Ubuntu)

I'm using Scratchbox 2 on 10.04 and have instructions for that if you're interested.

Re: Scratchbox Installation Trouble (Ubuntu)

Absolutely! That would be wonderful.

On this thread (http://forum.chumby.com/viewtopic.php?id=5281) I worked through the same issues you had and I hope it helps.

Re: Scratchbox Installation Trouble (Ubuntu)

Madox,

Can you share your instructions or details using scratchbox2 to compile pygame?  How is this done?
