Topic: Reboot loop

I've tried to compile midnight commander on chumby one. At first chumby was running without any problem. Then I rebooted it and since then it is in a reboot loop. At first it shows two circles, then a lot of circles (normal boot pics) but then it reboots again. How can I restore the software on the device?

Touch the screen on boot and it should take you to "Special Options" mode.

From there you can restore from USB, if you download the latest firmware image.

Sorry that I ask: Where to download the image and how do I install it? Just copying it on the USB stick?

No, that's the source code - you want a prebuilt firmware image for the latest release.
