Topic: Getting started...

I'm having a hard time getting started developing a widget for Chumby (Insignia 8).

Found a link on the wiki to here. Tried to follow instructions and got it working on my pc, but not on my chumby.

I'm running the Chumby8 control panel on my Insignia 8, and my best guess is that ActionScript 3 is not supported?

This is the error I'm getting:

chumby-28-ab-12:~ # chumbyflashplayer.x -i http://10.0.1.139/start.swf

I could get the older samples working (action script 1.0, flash 6).

Re: Getting started...

Correct - Actionscript 3 is not currently supported in production - yet.

However, we have released a beta firmware image that *does* support AS3 here, so you can install that and play with it.  At some point, when it's ready, we'll do firmware updates to add AS3 support to production.
