Topic: Won't boot-resuce boot procedure?

It comes up to  "Insignia Please wait..." and just hangs.
I'd compiled a ton of libraries and gotten MPD up and running, shut it down, and now stuck.

Anyway, is there some sort of rescue boot method?  This is the DP8CH, 8-inch Infocast.

Power-on while touching the screen does get the option to restore factory settings. 
It reboots and then still gets stuck at the initial "Insignia please wait..." screen.
Any ideas?
