Topic: Chumby & ModularEEG

Is anyone interested in the idea of adding EEG functionality to a Chumby?  Personally, I'm more of a software guy and am still learning about basic hardware modding and assembly, but I'm highly motivated.

Thought I'd cast a net here now anyway.  It could be a while before I dive into something as big as Chumby EEG and if I ever get anything off the ground, I'll certainly update the thread.

Re: Chumby & ModularEEG

Looks like the EEG talks to chumby over a serial port, so all you'd need to get started is a USB to serial dongle, and you can plug in and start hacking on it.

Or, if you feel adventurous, you can do away with the digital board and use a Phidget (http://www.phidgets.com/products.php?ca … ct_id=1018) with its A/D channels directly interfaced to the analog board. iirc, Phidget drivers are pre-loaded into the chumby one kernel, as are most common USB to serial drivers.

Sounds promising, and thanks for the response, bunnie!  My EEG is in a box somewhere after a move, so hunting that down shall be my first step.  Really excited about the prospects here.
