Topic: Need buying convincing - virtual control panel / alarm?

So I just learned of this device. I have been frustrated trying to find the perfect 'super' alarm clock that can set alarms based on calendar days, weekends, weekdays, and different times, be able to do weather, stocks, and other stuff. Looks like I just found my dream gadget for this.

So I wanted to test it out and setup a virtual one. Some of the widgets are great for waking up. Friendfeed, eBay Auctions, and Local weather right on my nightstand? Awesome.

But how can I test the control panel and alarm functions in the virtual Chumby?I want to verify that the alarm works the way it sounds like it does (since I have been frustrated in the past).

p.s. Thanks for using PunBB. Best forum software ever smile

This page should give you a pretty good idea of the Alarms on the chumby - http://www.chumby.com/pages/cp_clock_custom

Ah, the whole help area has screen shots for the control panel it looks like. This will help. According to those screen shots it looks like it does just what I was asking.

So I guess the whole control panel part is not in the virtual one?

Correct, unfortunately we do not have a working 'virtual control panel' for you to play with.  Please feel free to ask us any questions you have about any of the control panel features or functionality at http://www.chumby.com/pages/help_support

The link you gave earlier gives all the basic functions of the Alarm Clock feature- in my personal opinion i've learned that it tends to be very advanced, I have special alarms setup for every day of the week.

I bought two Chumby's without testing, and they have met up to everything I ever needed.
