Topic: Beta Older Than Standard Delta Info

When a standard release becomes available that is new than than the current beta, it would be nice to know the differences, particularly the beta features that have been incorporated in the new standard release.

How about this page? http://www.chumby.com/pages/latest_software

Re: Beta Older Than Standard Delta Info

How about NOT that page.  Without exact rev. levels and other details, all I get from the page you reference, gingerbeardman, is that there are many similarities between the most recent beta and the current standard release control panel.

I'm not a programmer, but I am an IT professional frequently concerned with effective communications.  IMO, the pages with change info on the standard release shouldn't have to be compared with the beta release change pages to try to decipher the differences between the two current versions.

Re: Beta Older Than Standard Delta Info

The only changes between the last beta and the release were the removal of the "BETA" overlay, and a reordering of the music sources.

Beta releases are released pretty much "as is", caveat emptor, as opposed to a more formal beta program with complete public tracking.
