Topic: Could sony force the bad firmware with my hitting OK?

I got prompted for a firmware update, which I know I'm not supposed to do, but there was not cancel button. So, I pulled the plug and installed Chumby on the Dash. Thanks Duane and company. I just wish it had Pandora on it like the real Chumby that you support.

Anyway, the strange thing is that the Dash I was using for Netflix still works as the regular Dash, so I am not updating that until the prompt for a firmware update happens. Hopefully, they don't just update it without my OK or has that happened to anyone?

Never mind. I decided to make both my Dashes use the Chumby software rather than have Sony play games with forcefully installing their new firmware.

The only thing I really miss is Pandora, but I saw the forum post that it is a license issue created by Sony's implementation.

I have one chumbydash and one sonydash..  The sonydash is kept on continuous nighttime.   So far there have been no problems.  The chumbydash flicker every 15 minutes for some unknown reason.
