Topic: Pricing

I'm just wondering if pricing is going to drop once you can freight these things from china to the US then ship domestically?

I can't imagine it's costing less than $40/unit to drop ship from China-- will a shipping savings be reflected in the cost of the unit?  Or are you taking a loss on them now?  Or will you take that as extra profit?

I'm okay with any of these scenarios-- just curious

Re: Pricing

Actually, it turns out to be less expensive to ship directly to the customer from China than it is to bulk ship to somewhere in the US and then ship again to each customer.

Re: Pricing

wow, that's surprising!  even if you were to put a giant carton of them on a boat?

Re: Pricing

On a boat or in a plane, those awesome Chumbys cost the same!

Seriously though, that is just awesome that shipping is cheaper direct like that.
