Topic: Serial port

I saw the HW mod on the Wiki about adding composite output, saw the schematic & read a little about a serial port. It the serial port not standard TTL (5V)? Would someone put information about this mod and other details (5V or not) on the Wiki? I know that USB-serial is probably an option and that might be included on the Wiki as well. I have used some of these in the past and know that all adapters are not the same. I do not have a need at this time for this, but may in the near future and being proactive.

I'm pretty sure it's 3.3V, or at least 3.3V tolerant.  Check the data sheet and schematics.  5V is going to make it unhappy, methinks.

The serial port is the default console, 3.3V, 115200,8,N,1.

There is another serial port on the CHB brought out to the expansion header.  Real, honest,USART, although 8 bit only, I don't think it will do RS485.
