Topic: Hacking the Chumby Bare Bones Kit
Hi All,
Got my Chumby Bare-bones from MakerShed today (Had to pay customs Excise on it!) - but had a couple of small issues;
1. The 'bump' sensor (microswitch) was missing
2. The WiFi daughterboard connector was knackered (metered it out and then saw the broken pin on the back of it)
I could have sent it back... but I'm to impatient, so...
1. Salvaged a reset switch from an old PC case (blue/white lead with microswitch on end of it) - worked perfect and no soldering required
2. Wired out a old USB extension lead (the type that plug into a motherboard) direct onto the USB daughterboard.
My plan is to mount this all on the inside of a kitchen cupboard door, so I may lose the daughterboard altogether once I've metered out the pins to the chumbilical or main board
