Both of my Chumby's were showing blue screens and now just the default clock. Logging in to the Chumby dashboard says it isn't available.
Does this happen often? I guess I wasn't really aware of the extent of which the Chumby devices rely upon calling home.

This is major server upgrade - and no, these don't happen very often. We do update the servers frequently, however, these updates don't normally require any downtime. This particular update required a lot of database modifications that take time to process.
Your chumby should resume normally when the update is complete.
The service should be back online now.
