chances are this will probably be corrected over time, but incase you guys are unaware and it affects more people than just me

adding:

69.43.206.68 widgets.chumby.com

to the /psp/hosts file seems to be a temporary fix until the DNS is back to normal, as long as the ip doesn't change.

the IP address won't change and we're working on getting DNS authority on our own servers as our current DNS provider
has been the root of the problems and has been unwilling to work with us on fixing their problem.

we are now no longer relying on godaddy/totaldns for authoritative DNS.  our changes are propagating fairly quickly and
a 'dig chumby.com ns' should now return.
