Topic: Wireless driver failing to come up?

Anyone else seeing possible symptoms of the wireless driver failing to come up?  We pretty often (say a third of the time) have our chumby fail to connect to our WLAN.  It's not a signal issue -- the chumby is less than 10 feet from the access point, and when it is connected, the chumby reports a signal strength of over 90% and link quality of over 80%.

As a specific example, the last time this happened (chumby booted, came up in digital clock mode, was not pingable), Settings>Network>Show Networks... did not list any networks.  Then when I hit "Other" and re-entered the WLAN name
and encryption info, the chumby said "wlan0 down".  At this point I power-cycled it and it connected.

Re: Wireless driver failing to come up?

This is a known issue. It's been discussed elsewhere in the forums and in the FAQ (http://www.chumby.com/corporate/support) and we're trying to resolve it, so stay tuned.
